Full VFX and Virtual Production Services

From humble guerrilla filmmaking beginnings, Treehouse quickly embraced VFX and SFX to tell bigger stories, imagining new worlds, and producing award winning films.

Treehouse has always looked to utilise emerging tools and methods to help create their stories. An interest in Unreal saw us awarded an Epic Games MegaGrant with which we produced our own short films that ultimately led to the award of a major ground-breaking real-time animation feature, the ‘first of its kind’ due for release in 2026.

In 2024 we expanded our VFX offerings with our cloud based facility under the stewardship of industry legends Adam McInnes and Nick Drew.

We continue to excel and delight, with out mission being to bring joy to filmmaking. Be it with real-time game engines or sophisticated VFX tools, we’re here to guide you. And yes, we know all about AI!

VFX

In 2024 Treehouse branched out, creating their cloud-based VFX facility under the stewardship of Adam McInnes and Nick Drew.

Adam is a former Netflix Studio Executive and an EMMY®, BAFTA® and VES Award Winning VFX Supervisor and Producer. Nick has almost thirty years' experience on both the client and facility side of the VFX industry, helping to create and deliver a variety of productions from Academy Award winning features, high-end TV series and UK based indie film projects.

All under the canopy of Treehouse, productions will be able to take advantage of all our VP and VFX services through the recently enhanced VFX UK tax credits as of January 2025

Virtual Production

Treehouse offers our experience in Unreal workflows, LED Volume stages and VFX and expertise to productions alongside our production partners, iMAG Displays.

Over the years we have built a close working team that has extensively tested and successfully utilised screen hardware in combination with a variety of cameras to ensure the highest quality of final in-camera imagery. We use ROE LED, Brompton and Megapixel processing, in conjunction with our Disguise media servers.

As a single point of contact we help plan your VP shoot from logistics, shot design and screen content, whether it be plate shoots or Unreal Engine created content, on-set Supervision and high-end visual effects through to final pixel delivery.

Realtime Animation & Previsualisation

Treehouse have just completed the animation of the feature film Rogue Trooper in Unreal Engine, one of the first feature films to be completed this way.

As industry leaders in using Unreal Engine for animation and previsualisation tools we are able to handle everything from live action shoot planning, pre-vis and tech-vis and all the way to fully animated features.

The realtime animation possibilities are incredibly exciting utilising Unreal Engine, but you need to know how to harness it! We do.
